  • This motor is often used in power seats for raising the seat up and down. It is perfect for precise positioning and not back driving when power is cut. This motor features an integrated hall sensor to enable accurate positioning feedback. The wire harness can be purchased individually as am-3548 and the motor can be purchased individually as am-3493.

Are these motor units legal for First tech Challenge 2018/19?

Excellent for driving Vex 1/4' axle

This is a great motor w/ encoder. It is nearly silent but provides good power. The output is a through-hole which is two squares offset by 45 degrees. The squares are just less than 1/4'. We were able to broach one of the squares to 1/4 and it now fits Vex high-strength axle very well. This is a handy (and FRC-legal) way to drive Vex mechanisms if you need something small but don't want to use servos.
