We are proud to offer AndyMark's latest and greatest 6 in. diameter Mecanum wheel. This wheel's features are a culmination of our hard work in developing the Mecanum wheel since we introduced an affordable wheel to the market in 2006. It has the same heavy duty features, but with an added smoothness while rolling. We minimized the gaps between the rollers, enabling this wheel to be our "smooth rolling" (SR) Mecanum Wheel.
A wheel set is comprised of two left (am-3479Lb) and two right (am-3479Rb) wheels. Should you need a replacement wheel, a single left or right can also be acquired. These wheels have a weight capacity of 200 pounds per wheel. This is revision 'b' which fixes a problem we've had in very few cases where the mounting holes between hub plates was not lined up properly. We've fixed this by improving our assembly processes and now use rivets and glue to secure the hub halves together. |

12/10/21 Update:
The root cause of the misalignment has been identified and rectified in the process of manufacturing the inner dishes. Misalignment is no longer an issue and as such we are returning to the easier to assemble "a" versions of this wheel. Both versions are interchangeable on a drive base.
Individual Components within Wheel Set:
Roller and Axle Design:
The gray urethane rubber roller (am-3698) has a durometer rating of 80a. The roller has a polycarbonate core, and 2 high load bushings. The bushings ride on brass tubes, sandwiched between the plates with a #10-32 machine screw.
Wheel Structure:
15 rubber rollers are sandwiched between 2 steel plates. The two interior pieces are sandwiched together at the bore with a thickness of 0.25 inch. These wheels can be purchased in a set of 4, or individually. They are sold without hubs, sprockets, or bearings.
Driving with Axle and Hub Overview:
If driven by a round shaft, these parts are needed for each wheel
Driving with a Sprocket:
If driven by a sprocket, these parts are needed for each wheel.
