  • The Dynamo Sport is the latest innovation in high performance planetary gearboxes from BaneBots and AndyMark. The Dynamo Sport features numerous improvements over previous planetary gearboxes used on FIRST Robotics Competition robots.

    AndyMark and BaneBots are so confident in the strength and reliability of this line of gearboxes that we guarantee that they won't fail you when it matters most. Due to the size and quality of these American made, cold formed, steel gears in addition to the specifically selected available ratios, we are confident in guaranteeing these gearboxes will not fail in competition.*

    The cold formed steel gears inside this gearbox are a 0.7 Module tooth profile which is 40% larger than the vast majority of planetary gearbox gears previously used on competition robots. The gears are larger, but the housing's size has been optimized to not use any unnecessary material. This means you get more reliability without sacrificing precious space. This housing is also one solid piece of aluminium, ensuring that there is no possibility for misalignment of the stages during assembly or during the rigors of match play.

    A free packet of red tacky grease (am-2768) is included with every gearbox purchased. This grease must be used to coat every internal surface of the gearbox before use.

    The Dynamo Sport includes 2x 6-32 screws and a press fit pinion gear specifically for mounting the Dynamo Motor (am-3740). To install this motor, remove the back cover, support the back of the output shaft, and press on the included pinion gear using an arbor press. This press fit ensures a solid mechanical connection between the pinion gear and the motor. This pinion assembly is not susceptible to vibration, and never needs to be checked once installed. All ratios of the Dynamo Sport Gearboxes use a 4:1 input stage, with the same tooth count pinion, so motors and gearboxes can be switched out with ease.

If you do experience a failure under these conditions, with an unmodified, properly greased gearbox, please let us know by emailing documentation to support@andymark.com and we will gladly send out a replacement or a store credit. Modifications include but are not limited to using optional accessories that require disassembly of the gearbox and are not identical replacement parts.
