This is a 6 in. diameter wheel with a polycarbonate body and a TPU rubber "HiGrip" tread profile. This wheel features a 50A durometer tread material to provide a supremely responsive dynamic robot driving experience. These wheels provide the biggest improvement in dynamic robot response among our HiGrip family. In our drive testing, we were unable to get these wheels to noticeably slip when changing direction, or even attempting to do a 'burnout' against the wall. This testing was done with a 150 Lbs. chassis and a fully charged battery. In a drivetrain, we feel that these wheels are soft enough to be considered a 'one match wheel.' These wheels are meant to be used in situations where you need the most dynamic traction, such as playing only a defensive role in the finals. We are confident that they will wear out in about 2-3 minutes of aggressive driving when used in a drivetrain. That doesn't mean that they don't make great wheels for other mechanisms!

No bearings or hubs are included in this wheel.

    Usage:

Use #10-24x3/4 thread forming screws to attach sprockets or hubs to this wheel.

    With Axle and Hub:
    • If you wish to drive this wheel with an Axle and Hub, you can pick your hub by fitting any of the AndyMark hubs (not included) to this wheel. If this is your choice, then no bearing is needed. Use #10-24x3/4 thread forming screws to fasten a hub to this wheel.
    With Sprocket:
    • If you wish to drive this wheel with a sprocket, then the sprocket needs to be attached to the side of the wheel, and two ball bearings need to be pressed into the wheel (one on each side). The ball bearing must have a 1.125 in. od. For a 1/2 in. id, use am-0181 or am-0029. For a 3/8 in. id, use am-0209. Use #10-24x3/4 thread forming screws to fasten the sprocket to the wheel.
    With Bearings:
    • To press bearings into this wheel (for a free spinning wheel or for use with a sprocket), two ball bearings need to be pressed into the wheel (one on each side). The ball bearing must have a 1.125 in. od. For a 1/2 in. id, use am-0181 or am-0029. For a 3/8 in. id, use am-0209.
    • Bolt Pattern: Six holes (0.17 in. diameter) on a 1.875 in. diameter bolt circle
    • Bore: 0.95 in. diameter through hole, with two 1.125 in. diameter bearing pockets
    • CoF: 0.97
    • Diameter: 6 in.
    • Load Capacity: 90 lbs.
    • Material: Black Polycarbonate, Thermoplastic Polyurethane
    • Side Load: In excess of 600 lbs. at tread surface
    • Weight: 0.48 lbs.
