The ability to have the shaft go beside the motor allows users to save space and opens up options when space is a concern. This gearbox accepts any length of our 3/8 in. hex shaft or Robits Hex Shafts allowing you to potentially drive a mechanism all the way across your robot.
Additionally, the integrated nut pockets in the gearbox plates removes the need for a 3/8 wrench when attaching this gearbox to your structure.
Note: When mounting this gearbox, we recommend a #10 washer under the fastener heads to provide adequate clearance with the gears.
Compatibility:
NeveRest Orbitals -> The input has our traditional NeveRest mounting pattern so you can orient your motor in 45° increments. Pair this with any of our 6 mm D to 3/8 Hex Adapters (not included).
NeveRest Hex -> The input has both the traditional NeveRest M3 mounting pattern as well as the 10-32 mounting pattern. Retain the gear on the shaft using a #10 washer (not included) and a 10-32 x 1/2IN screw (not included) .
