  • Unlike using a huge drill bit, step drills don't require nearly as much torque or cutting pressure as the steps mean you aren't trying to cut one huge chip. This particular step drill does have a standard twist drill point so you can use this to start holes as well.

    Drill Step sizes

    • 1/4 in. Initial starter drill
      • 8 small steps
    • 7/8 in. large step
      • 4 small steps
    • 1 1/8 in. Large step and max size

    Works well for drilling in:
    • Metal
    • Stainless
    • Cu, Ni, Ms, Zn, Al

    • Wood, too
