The cable is what was needed and works fine. The only comment I have is as an Aerospace engineer, extension cables came with a male connector at one end and a female at the other. This cable has identical connectors at each end and requires a second adapter to allow mating. The first time one of the students looked on-line for the extension cable they told me of the problem of identical connectors at each end. I checked and noticed the reference to the adapter that worked with the cable to actually complete what they wanted. You needed to purchase two parts to do the job of extending the cable.
