  • This is a USB to 5V serial adapter cable designed to program Ethernet Arduino boards. It requires it's own drivers found at the FTDI Website. Unlike some other Arduino boards, the Ethernet Arduino does not have an onboard USB-to-serial driver, so an external one is required for programming.
    This cable will also power the Arduino and automatically reset it after loading a sketch.

    The FTDI cable is USB to Serial (TTL Level) converter. This will connect TTL interface devices to USB. The I/O pins are configured to operate at 5V.
