  • The Sensor Kit for the DART Linear Actuator includes two hall effect sensors (am-3313a), an aluminum mounting bracket, and associated hardware. The hall effect sensors are intended to be used for end of travel sensing.

    This kit is designed to be used with the 12 in. DART (am-3072a) or 6 in. DART (am-3076a) linear actuator. Both bracket lengths are included.

    Be sure to position the sensors at a location so that the DART lead screw does not travel as far to bottom out the brass nut at the end of stroke.

    It is recommended to run this actuator with hall effect and/or current protection as it is possible to stall or "stick" the lead screws when stalled against a hard stop at both ends of travel. It's recommended to use the the hall effect switches to limit travel of the actuator from the end stops. When using faster ratios it may be possible to overrun the limits slightly and programming methods may require ease into stroke ends. If you are not able to program these functions we recommend using a Talon SRX (am-2854) which has on-board switch monitoring and current protection.

    Be sure to assemble the DART so that the magnet on the Back Bearing is located under the location that the hall effect sensor is mounted.

    • Four - #4-40 x 3/8 in. SHCS (am-1032)
    • Four - #4-40 Nylock Nut (am-1139)
    • Mounting: 0.136 in. diameter (4) in each corner with a 0.50 in. center to center distance
    • Size: 0.75 in. x 0.75 in. square

It took awhile to figure out the orientation of the mounting bracket but once we did these sensors work great! They’re a must have if you are using the DART actuator

good delivery time

Delivery time has been excellent. But considering it's build season, it's really been incredible. Almost on par with McMaster, but with much better and more robo-centric parts! Keep it up, Andy!
