The nub is a series of hubs intended to connect motion components to spinning shafts, like sprockets gears, pulleys and wheels. It supports the output shaft of the AndyMark NeveRest motors as well as other motors on the market. It also supports the AndyMark 6 mm D shafts for robust motion systems and impeccable torque transfer.
We carry several body profiles of the Nub too! Their use cases are:
The four mounting holes on these nubs are sized at 0.128 in. diameter, with the intention of accepting a #6-32 threaded screw. They are not tapped, but can be tapped by most machine screws due to this diameter.
Note:
The 5 mm hex bore is not timed to any particular face of the Nub. The hexs on various Nubs are not guaranteed to rotationally line up with other Nubs.
The flat sides on all of the D-bore Nubs are timed and parallel to the sides with the setscrew (although they are on the opposite side as the setscrew)
